Save your eyes from those screens!

It seems obvious to point out that your eyes (and hands) are likely the most important body-part to a professional trader. Here are some useful tips to help make sure you keep those eyes in peak condition throughout your career.
1) Schedule your day with short periods of rest every 3 hours.
2) Place your PC or Laptop in an open location, so that when you remove your eyes from your screen, the pupil of your eye changes its shape to see distant objects. This advice was given to me by my eye Specialist, therefore, 100% authentic.
3) Every 20 minutes stand up, focus your vision on something 20 feet away, and do that for 20 seconds.  This will ensure your eyes aren’t strained. (love this one!)
4) Do not over burden yourself with access of work behind the computer.  Remember, even the best parts wear down over time, so respect your eyes, and give them a break when you feel tired.  Even better, plan for a STOP time for your work every day…the challenge is peeling yourself away from the charts…so stick to that stop time and call it a day.
5) Visit your eye specialist once in every six months.
6) Sleep properly for at least eight hours. (some may need only 6, find your sweet-spot)
Hope these tips will keep you seeing those charts easier and more efficiently every day!
