Perfect Setup for a Short-Squeeze (Non-Farm Payrolls)
Are you seeing this short-squeeze setup?
Tomorrow is Non-Farm Friday, which means we have some of the biggest news of the month just before the opening bell…
Looking at the charts – everything is bullish into ranges this evening, so I’m looking for buy setups off the lows into (hopefully) a short-squeeze!
And you know me – I’m always prepared for a reversal, and I have a great strategy for shorting off the highs too…
Tomorrow has the potential to make your entire month, don’t miss it!
E-Mini S&P (ES):
E-Mini Keys to Success:
Just as we expected, yesterday’s big move down turned into a sideways range today.
Ranges act like price-magnets, so the best strategy is to wait for a breakout and focus on buying low and selling high with failure patterns.
Buyers appear to have the short-term momentum on their side right now, so I’ll be looking for a breakout going higher on strength, or buying opportunities off the lows of this range.
Sellers can short off range highs, but momentum will be very strong at that point so it’s best to use the 2-Try Rule.
E-Mini Nasdaq (NQ):
Nasdaq Keys to Success:
Buyers have control of the Nasdaq into a trading-range tonight, so the best strategy is to look for buying opportunities at support levels below the range, or breakouts going higher.
Sellers need to stay patient right now – we have major support levels below us if price runs lower, and strong bullish momentum is price runs higher. It’s best for sellers to wait for a strong breakout lower that holds the pullback.
Crude Oil Futures (CL):
Crude Oil Keys to Success:
Crude Oil is bullish into a range tonight, so the best strategy will be looking for buying opportunities at support levels below the range, along with breakouts going higher.
I also see major support at 78.52 below this range – sellers need to use caution if price goes lower because I assume there will be plenty of buyers waiting down there. I’ll be looking for a seller failure to get long off that level.
If sellers can break lower and HOLD the pullback going through that 78.52, then I’ll look for a new channel and short the first test off the high with any of my entry setups.
