Middle-Mouse Button work-around for Laptops and NinjaTrader7

Just a FYI as it turns out, most touch pads on most laptops are controlled/governed by Synaptics Touch pad (v.7.0) software/protocols. Synaptics is usually the same on most laptops, if user keeps driver software updated.

1) Most of the time (95%) this software has a “mouse properties” where you can reconfigure the touch pad;. 2) there is usually a sub-tab/menu titled Device Settings; 3) there is usually a Settings radio button; 4) click the + sign to the left of the Buttons file/folder and verify “Enable buttons” is checked; 5) click the + sign to the left of the Tapping file/folder and verify “Enable Tapping” is checked; 6A) Under the Tapping folder is another file/folder titled Tap Zones. Click the + sign to the left of the Tap Zones file/folder and select/highlight the area of touchpad you want to be your middle-mouse button (Example: Top-Right Action) 6B) then select/highlight the action in the upper right window – there should be an action titled, “Middle Click”. 6C) Click APPLY at bottom; 7) If you want to increase the size of the top-right tap zone, there should be a file/folder titled “Tap Zone Sizes” where you can selectively increase size of any zone. 8) Click Apply; Click OK; Click APPLY in main window; Click OK – now play with it in Simulator mode to get the feel of it.(thanks to Steve N. for this information!)
