Aussie Futures:

We made new highs above 8934, and now we look to break those highs with a breaker pattern trend-continuation trade getting long above 8946

Profit targets will be at the first trend line of 8960 (1/2), then 8980 the open of the day, and then all the way up to 8995 just short of the big round number and high of day from last week.

The higher percentage trade is long the way the pattern has set up, but if we see a swing low level around 8920 (below the trigger line of 8925) we can get short with a 2-step short entry.

Targets for a short will be 8910 (1/2)8895(1/4), and then down to the lows of the day at 8866 (1/4)

Crude Oil Futures:

We have a double-bottom at the lows, which means we are looking strongly at a buy order to take the price back up to the highs of the trading range at 75.90.

Entry long above 75.51 will be higher risk for three reasons

1. At the OPEN, and the OPEN tells me to expect a fake-out breakout, we will break above 51’s but then cannot make the move any further, stopping all the long buyers out of the trade.

2. Today’s price action has been VERY weak, and we’ve had to tighten our targets to make sure we get them filled.

3. Looking at the slower 34-range chart we can see this market is trading in a very tough spot with support below and resistance overhead.

If danger is your middle name, look for entry 75.51, and profit targets of 75.75 (1/2), 75.90 (1/4), and then watch, reading the tape, look for big buyers and lots of speed to hold the final portion of this trade all the way up to the next double-top (yellow line) at 76.09 (1/4)
