Wacky Wednesday day trading strategy E-Mini-Russell earns +50 ticks Fast Track
Our day trading
strategy this morning was somewhat challenging. We had a lot of major news coming out this
morning, today was ‘Wacky Wednesday’ of OPEX, and we had the FOMC Meeting
Minutes set to be released at 2pm EST this afternoon. Looking at all of this information to be
aware of, we knew today would be all about finding time between news events and
then making sure we didn’t over-trade the end of the morning because price
action would be sloppy ahead of the news at 200pm EST.

Our day trading
strategy for the dollar index was quite simple, and it gave us the first
red flag of the morning when we saw the narrow price wedge structure and market
personality was not very consistent. When
the dollar index is trading in a narrow price wedge inside the range from the
previous day we know there needs to be some caution taken when we trade, and
today was no different.

Our day trading
strategy for E-Mini-Russell was also very simple, and the E-Mini-Russell gave
us much of the same clues as the dollar index.
We had an inside trading day and a price wedge to consider, which made
our day trading strategy easy to plan at 730am EST when we opened our trade
room.

high percentage trading opportunities and ended with buying the lows on the E-Mini-Russell
and earned a total of 55 ticks of profit in a very slow and sloppy wacky Wednesday
ahead of the FOMC Meeting minutes at 2pm
EST.
