Tape Reading earns +180 ticks profit trading Gold & E-Mini-Russell futures

This morning we had ANOTHER big day of winning trades in our live trade room on the E-Mini-Russell and Gold futures using the previous highs and lows along with tape reading to help us earn +180 ticks of profit on only 8 total trades.
We began the day with clues from the news; we knew there would be some early-morning opportunities but we wanted to wait for the 1000am EST Factory Orders to come out for what we thought would be the ‘meat and potatoes’ for today’s US morning session. We were correct in this assumption today, the early morning was a little sloppy, and we did get some awesome trading opportunities around 10am EST.
The dollar index gave us an easy clue this morning when we used our heat map from our morning prep at 730am EST.
